Today is just "another day in paradise"...that has been my slogan for the past few weeks. Jeremy has been slow and work and things have been a little tough around our house hold. I just keep moving everyday and reminding myself that this is my "paradise" Children, husband, and I are healthy. It is so tuff being a parent husband/wife and mostly and adult. It is those things that we take for granit that I must sit back and reflect and remind myself to be thankful for them. On a lighter note the kids are back in school and have been for a week today, yet my they are off today for a teachers institute so I am going to get all the stuff I need to done around the house and try to find someting fun and creative for them to do today. I am thinking picnic in the back yard and just some good ole fun outside. They will love it! Well off to my family!

Trying to wind down from a long day of racing....It actually wasn't as long as usual which surprised me. Today was the first day that we enjoyed the adventure of our motor home and I would have to say that it was wonderful! We arrived at the race and Momma and her babes hung out in the air conditioning while Daddy prepped the cars. Daddy was happy because the trailor stayed clean and Momma was happy because she had the kids contained and she stayed cool! Qualifying began about 1 hour after we arrived and for some reason I did not expect the boys to qualify well, although I did not make that a publicly know fact because I didn't was to get them discouraged. But much to my surprise Jhadyn qualified 3rd and Jhett 4Th.
We waited patiently for the lower mains to race and then it was time. The wonderful crackling star spangled banner was played over the intercom and by crackling I mean the sound system needs a replacing..LOL... My stomach was in knots as it always seems to be before the boys race and it was then time. Before you knew it flying out of the hot shoot with no fear at all was first my Lil Poo Bear (Jhadyn) and then Mr. Spaghetti (Jhett). They were doing well keeping their line and control of the car on a slippery track. Then all of a sudden Hadley was trying to pass Jhett and spun him out. I hate to see that.....poor girl received a charge call and sent to the rear. I was happy and so was Jeremy though that Jhett and the car were okay and a caution was thrown they all lined back up and the race went on. Jhadyn passed and then so did Jhett they kept control of the race even though the little Alcorn kid had a half track advantage of the lead. Seriously though I really did not care of the standings of my boys when the race was done I was just constantly praying that they would come out safe. As I always do. The checkered flag was thrown and They did it!! Both placed in the top! Jhett finished 2nd in his first points race and Jhadyn 3rd in his first points race!! So proud of my lil drivers!!

Good morning! Had a wonderful time last evening for my baby boys birthday. There were few obstacles that I had to climb to get ready for the party but it was a success! My philosophy is that NOTHING in my life is ever easy! I ordered the birthday cake at the beginning of the week. I had this perfect image of a lime green cake with red, blue, and yellow polka dots. Oh yes and one pink polka dot for Sissy ( she specifically asked for that, I thought it was stinking adorable). With such a chaotic day I thought that since my husband was already in Springfield that he could pick up the cake with no problems at all. I was a little nervous but trusted he could do the job well. As I was preparing for the party my husband left to run some errands and I asked my oldest son"Where did Daddy put the cake?" Mind you that it was a heat index of like 100 yesterday. "I think that he left it in his truck mommy." "Ugh!" said mommy. But come to find out he did well he put them in the freezer. So the freezer I go and pull out the cake. I take it to the counter and open the first box ( the smash cake) it was cute, not what I pictured. It was Kelly Green with polka dots and a number one. "That will do" I said. Then I move on to the large cake......There is NO icing! It was ALL on the top of the box lid! I panicked as anyone would do. Then I started thinking...straight to the top of the cake the little smash cake went. Around the base I decorated the flaws with M&M's It turned out adorable and a memory that I won't forget!
Jhude was a typical one year old he didn't understand the present part. Yet, his brother's and sisters were excited and could not wait for him to open his presents. It was so precious how they all sat around in a circle and assisted. Jhadyn was trying to hold him and keep him interested in the presents but Jhude didn't care at all. Jhett was the reader. He opened each card and read them as well as whom they were from. Jhia and Jhak helped open the presents. It was amazing how well the all worked together. "Priceless" I say with no fighting at all.
Now it was on to the cake. We all gathered around the table as always. Grandma Judy & Grandpa, Jeremy's Grandparents, My most special Great Grandmother, My mother & father, sister and nephews, Jeremy's sister & mother and our niece, and all my aunts and cousins. I love it! A large crowd gathered to share such a joyous event. We hit the lights and lit the candle ( large blue polka dotted number one) and it started. A perfect melody of "Happy Birthday" Maybe not exactly perfect in sound but perfect to me because everyone I loved was there participating. The chorus was done and Jhude started into his smash cake. I have never seen a child dig in so neatly. He didn't miss a bite all into his mouth. It was priceless.
It was a conclusion to another "perfect day in MY paradise"

Today is the first official day that I have dipped my toes into this. Looking forward to an adventure of writing down the experiences of my life with my husband and my beautiful family. It is a typical morning at our house. The house is quiet while all my precious babes are still sleeping. Those sleepy heads they are just like their mother "not morning people at all." I laugh and in the back of my mind always remember what my grandmother said "Don't ever wake the children because obviously their bodies need that rest" So I agree it is summer time and that is what I will do. This day will be filled with busy life activities as always. Preparing for bible school next week and then a birthday celebration for my youngest Babe! I can not believe that it is here! The past year has flown by so fast with all the ups and downs. I am VERY grateful for all the 5 blessings that GOD has provided. Oh yes and I am also thankful for my husband do not let me forget him. Despite his faults (LOL) I love him with everything I have. Together they are my life....my everything!
